The green, greener, greenest race is all around us. Since Al Gore’s documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ everybody seems concerned about the environment. Every car manufacturer promotes its most environmentally friendly automobile, fashion designers declared that ‘green is the new black’ and organic food is more popular than ever!
A perfect moment for a Blog Action Day concerning the environment.
An important moment, because although the environment is in the picture now, it could prove to be just another hype. And it shouldn’t be! The way we are living our life changes the world around us, and leaves many of the people on earth living in poverty. In order to truly care about our planet and the people living on it, we should recognize the limitations of the earth and try to find more sustainable, less degrading, ways of living.
A good moment, because Al Gore just received a Nobel Prize for his documentary, because tomorrow is World Food Day, because the environment needs consideration every day and in every aspect of life.
The moment, because the longer we wait for action, the worse it gets. Don’t wait for your government, your parents or your neighbor to act. You are responsible for your own decisions, for your own actions. It is your future. Make it last. Make a change, start today!
